WILLIAM D. LEE
Porto at Night, transparent watercolor, 21" x 12", 2003

A lifelong Iowan, Bill Lee holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Northern Iowa (1956) and a degree in Architecture from Iowa State University (1964).  Portraits and material from foreign travel occur frequently in Bill's work, but a favorite subject continues to be the wonderfully rich scenes of farms, fields, structures, and people of his native Midwest.  Bill is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and several state watercolor societies, and he has work represented in many private and public collections.

The artist writes, "Attention to detail seems to mark my work and is probably a result of forty years of architectural practice burned into my soul."
